A little pricey from the last time I was there. Food was good.

What surprise this was. The food was really good!! I definitely recommend it.

Best gyros I've ever had! The meat is well flavored, and perfectly crispy on the outside but still tender and not dried out. The tzaziki sauce is amazing, and the fries are so good too. Super crispy on the outside, but nice and fluffy on the inside. I can only comment on these menu items because I can never get myself to order anything else, because the gyros really are that good.

Excellent food! Had the chicken souvlaki and homemade rice pudding. Will definitely go back.

First time purchasing food here and it was delicious. Had the chicken souvlaki sandwich and fries and both were seasoned really well and cooked to perfection. Would go here again definitely!

Ordered a hotdog it took 10 minutes, it was overpriced, and it was just ok!Would not recommend.

It's absolutely the best family diner on Touhy in Des Plaines!!! It's always been our fave restaurant of all time!!!

The food okay. The service sucks. They are so rude and have no customer service. There are many Gyro places in Des Plaines and I wont go there ever again. Learn some customer service skills.

Used Uber Eats and accidentally ordered to my house. Cancelled within 1 second of ordering when I recognized my mistake. Somehow the order was not cancelled and the Uber eats support explained that there was nothing that they could do. Restaurant would not cancel my order within 1 second of ordering and kept making the order even though I repeatedly tried canceling. Was still charged. DO NOT USE

Ordered the gyro plate and was happy with it. Came with fries, of course I added a side of cheese. Eyes ended up bigger than my stomach, so I only ate about half, which is fine, as it provided a whole second lunch for me. I would suggest if you get the gyro plate to get an extra pita (less than $1, I believe at the time of this writing), as the amount of ingredients can definitely make two gyro sandwiches.As I was unable to finish my meal, I brought it back to the counter and the lady was very helpful, getting me a to-go box, lids for my sauces, and even topping off my fountain drink.

Gyro's are excellent.. and you can ask for extra Peta and Greek sauce no problem. Price is reasonable and the portions are full!

Love this place! It is just a short walk from my office and the food is always great. I recommend the House Salad with Grilled Chicken and Pita. Their house dressing is homemade and sooo good!

Decent place with plenty of menu options. If you are looking for a self service normal proce regular lunch , this is the place. Lot of midd eastern options to choose. Decent taste, amazingly clean, fast service, Crispy fries. I tried philly cheese sandwich it was okay.

Evan's place has always taken good care of me and my family. They have excellent food and service. I've been going here for 8+ years.

Evan's is a local restaurant in Des Plaines, and I had forgotten how good it was. I had gone to Evans so much with my family as a young kid, and had not gone back in a few years. It just sort of left my mind, and I never really considered going there. Last week, I realized I hadn't gone there in so long. Now, I regret not going back for so long. The food was that good. I got the greek chicken with greek potatoes, and everything was so fresh, warm, and full of flavor. The inside of the restaurant is rather bland and uneventful, but it is comfertable and clean. The person who took my order was kind and I appreciated their effort to assure my satisfaction. So, if you like Greek/American cuisine and want a clean and comfertable place to dine, Evan's is the place to go.

My first impression was horrible, decided to try this place through the drive thru, I gave my order and a lady rudely responded “I can not hear what you say” so I went ahead and repeated my order, to which there was no response for 2min+ . I decided to drive off ....

I've come to this place since I was a kid. Food & service is always wonderful.

This place is great and broad, the food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. fast, productive service and very welcoming waiters. Highly recommended.

We have been coming here for years my son loves the shakes and my wife can't live without the Greek Patatos, food is always good. Owners are very welcoming feels like coming to friends for dinner.

LOVE EVANS!!! They were so super helpful yesterday when my daughter wanted something she LOVES that wasn't on the menu anymore. They brightened her day by helping me come up with a different choice for a picky picky kiddo!

Nearby Gyros place! Great food, fair service, and only slightly high prices. The food is what you come here for.This visit, ordered an Evans Salad and Gyro's Plate, with a side of Onion Rings. The food was prepared fresh, and was hot. The Gyros Plate also comes with fries, which makes it a decent value. The salad was good and fresh as well. The onion rings a little over done, but still a great flavor and tasty batter.Drinks can be a little pricey, but if you get the meal for carry out, as we did, it was decent. I haven't seen much in the way of discounts, so it's a full retail venture to eat here, but the food is good and this is one of the best Gyro places in the area.

Excellent Home made soups and salads. Their Greek salad is the best around.

My wife loves their Greek salads and their fries are great. Something that they do which is a little unexpected for that type of place is make AWESOME Oreo shakes.

This place has changed since I first dined there. Improved nicely. They also now serve beer and wine.
